First mobile DX Contact!

Since getting the ATAS120A installed earlier last week, I made my first mobile DX contact Easter weekend. While demonstrating ham radio to the family, I was able to have a nice QSO with CT7AEQ/Ted in Portugal. A nice 59 report from the FT-897D and ATAS120A combo running 100w from my parent’s driveway in Iowa. The comments were a resounding “That was very cool!”
