On the way back from Arizona, I made a stop at the NRAO – Very Large Array. The sheer size of this place is amazing. Built on an ancient lake bed.
This was a self-guided tour around the administrative buildings and a short drive down to “the barn” where they perform routine maintenance on the antennas.
While the videos were informative, it would have been really cool to have actually had an opportunity to talk with a scientist here.
