You know…even with our space program being overhauled, nothing new or major on the horizon anytime soon, looming budget cuts, and the hopeful advances on the commercial space side, its something as simple as this, that make me hopeful we will once again be pioneers in space. Very cool that NASA involved ham radio.
And yes…it seems simple to do. Some have asked why? Hams talk to space all the time. There is a plethora of sats up there we can use and talk thru. But…go simple. Hams around the world, sending a signal to space in a coordinated effort at the same time, using a method developed over 177 years ago. Longer than any other electrical coding system developed. Yeah…that's why.
